Fusion - Share Link file with Linked Body

Hi Everyone, I have question about 'Share Link' option. As I'm trying to share a CAM model with 'Linked Body',  Fusion generate me a link where I may see only bodies which are not linked (so those in green marked part of the tree on below picture).

Is it possible to share link where also be seeing 'Linked Body' (that one marked in red part of the tree on below picture)? Design was created out of Fusion, and that's why I used 'Linked Body' option - I used Fusion just for CAM simulation.

Welcome to the forum!  I've moved your post to the Fusion Design forum where you are likely to get more eyes on it.  Good luck!

When you share a link to a design from the data panel, it will include all visible components and bodies.

If that is not what you are seeing, then we need more info.

You cannot link bodies, only components, which may contain bodies.

Hi @TrippyLighting

No, this is not what I'm seeing. Look into below tree. I'm able to see only those bodies which belongs to compnent 7100614-1 v27:1 / Bodies - those bodies I'm able to swithch on/off for visibility. So all bodies from green box I might see.

I cannot see any bodies which belongs to 7100614-1 v27:1 / 7100614_1_73030_A... even if I will switch on visibilty for that part / bodies (see red box items). In below example component 7100614_1_73030_A...  is a "Linked component" (marked with blue arrow) and it has switched on Body1 for visibility. However as I will "Share Link" I'm not able to see in browser that Body1

Can you share that design link with download enabled?

Sorry, I cannot share that CAM file, because it is a customer component.

However I create 3 test files:

- this one contain only linked component, and it works fine

Tomasz_Bujar_1-1727697611558.png

- it is same as 1st one, but in addion I created inside additional body just to have stock not from fixed cylinder but from solid body. This small change cause that right now I'm not able to see anything in browser, so in this case share link not work correctly, and I have below message:

https://a360.co/3zHwf1V

- here same file like with 1st case, but in addition I create 1 surface body

And this is a case which I had with customer example. I see just surface body, but not linked component body.

Hopefully it will be helpfull to check it.

Hello Chris,

No. I think it is a bug in Fusion 360, and there is no solution for this moment.

Nevertheless, right now I understand the issue, and with future projects I may try to avoid some steps, or make it in different way.

I cannot reproduce that behavior.

I downloaded your file, and the inserted component "STEP_Component " was set to invisible as downloaded.

Once I set it to visible and saved it, the web viewer correctly shows the model.
