Fusion equivalent to 3DS Max FFDs?

Hi there folks!

I used to use 3DS Max when I was university, but as I am 3D printing stuff now, I'm using fusion 360. I have a model for an SSD Caddy for an all in one unit that i'm trying to print as I lost the other one.

As you can see from the attachment, the corners are just a tad too wide to fit. I have attempted to change the fillet and chamfers further back down the timeline but I feel like it would be easier to just squish the top end of the part, abit like what an FFD Modifier can do in 3DS Max.

Is there any equivalent to that tool in Fusion? or something that can deform the body? I know fusion works very differently to that of 3ds max, so I'm just curious.

I have tried filleting the corners again, but I think the 'topology' of those corners wont let me.

Thanks for any info.

Hi,

It is a bit hard to tell from just the picture. If you can export and attach the file it may help the forum.

Not sure if this is what will work but from your picture a Press Pull operation might do the trick?

No, unfortunately don't have any deformers in Fusion outside of the relatively limited (for deforming) sheet metal workflows

I had to google what a FFD modifier is in 3DS Max. I believe the equivalent in Blender is a lattice modifier.

Ah interesting.

The models use is for 3D printing and I know blender has some functionality in it for that, so maybe I could export a mesh or a model to Blender and potentially use that lattice modifier? I haven't used Blender before but I guess its a good opportunity to learn!

Thanks for your help
