Fusion crashing without crash report when trying to modify my model

Hi,

Fusion is crashing when I try to edit any feature on the timeline of a model I created 6 months ago. There was no issue with the model back then, now however, when I try to move the timeline back or make any changes in the time line or browser, the program crashes. When it crashes, it generates the usual apple report, however it does not generate an Autodesk report like it would normally??

I have tried on my Wife's mac who shares the design and exactly the same outcome occurs.

I have tried saving the design as a new project and find the same issue ensues with the new file.

I have tried exporting the model to desktop and importing the new version....same outcome. I have read on another post, breaking link after this process is a work around, but I don't know how to do that if it is even applicable. ( this was on a similar thread issue where fillets at the end of a model presented the problem  http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/design-validate-document/fusion-crashing-when-attempting-edit-of-timel...)

I am running mac os sierra on a high spec MacBook pro. I have tried many of my other projects and don't seem to have any issues....only the one design.

I don't know how to share my model with you (privately), so if you could please instruct me how to do I will.

Please any advice would be gratefully received as I need to modify this model.

Thanks in advance,

Tony

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for asking about that.

It would be great if you would share your design with me that I can have look on our side.

Here is an link to an article which explains how to do that. You can send the link directly to [email protected]

I will get hand off a developer parallel to investigate deeper into this.

Would you be able to share the Diagnostic Log Files with us. You can find them in the Help menu.

I hope this helps.

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for sharing all this information with us.

@matt.pooley I have checked the file and it is really dependent on the features in the design.

I will get in touch with @Phil.E and see if we can find out more.

Thanks for your great help.

Let´s investigate further into the file

Thanks,

Thanks Mike.

@Anonymous Sorry for the trouble. At this point the model cannot be used. The crash is unique in that it doesn't give a CER, so I don't know much about it right now. Can you try opening an older version?

This is logged as FUS-28544. Mike you are a subscriber on that report so you'll see when we figure it out.

Thanks,

@Anonymous

Good news. I found a way to rescue the model. It's a bit technical and better shared via PM, so please check for my private message.

Please let us know how it goes.

Thanks,
