Fusion crashes after switching on Design History

I have switched off the "Capture the Design History" feature. That works fine. After switching it on again Fusion360 crashes.

System: iMac late 2012

OS: El Capitan 10.11.1

Fusion360 2.0.1761

Design: http://a360.co/1OnNLb1

Best regards,

Holger,

Thanks for sharing and I'm sorry to hear about this issue. I'm having some difficulty with the public link.

Did you enable the option to "Allow  item to be downloaded" in the Public Link?

Thanks,

Hi Nathan,

thank you for answering quickly. The download link is http://a360.co/1Q9gr7A

I tried to download the model. Unfortunately I get this message:

If you could give me your mail address I could invite you to my project.

Thank you!

Best regards,

Hi Holger,

I was able to download the file, thank you. By the way, that is the correct dialogue for downloading. After entering the e-mail address, the cloud will translate the file and e-mail you the download link. I have seen the e-mail end up in the spam or junk inbox before, so be careful about that!

Whenever, I opened the file in Fusion 360, I note that the timeline was already turned off. I did test turning the timeline on and off again, but I could not reproduce the crash. Is there another file that should test with or were you able to resolve this issue?

Thanks,

@innovatenate Hi Nathan, Holger invited me to the project when looking into another issue. I was able to reproduce the crash in design "CNC V1.82", as indicated by the shared link in post #1. (The second link is pointing to "CNC V1.83" :)). I have asked the development team to look into the problem (FUS-21379). Hope it can be fixed earlier.

Hi Nathan,

the crash happens with my Design V1.82, see my screencast.

In V1.83 I can switch the design history on again. The difference between these two versions is, that I broke any link to the "external" parts in my design folder.

Best regards,

 Holger

Hi Holger,

The root cause of the crash has been identified, and the fix is under testing. If everything runs smoothly, we can expect to see the fix in next update.

Thanks for your patience.
