Hey,

after not touching Fusion360 for a week i found it be non reactive after starting it today. I couldn't even quit - i had to kill it.

When trying to start it again i only get an error report with this content: http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=pxLGExZ8

Any quick help available? I'd really like to use Fusion today.

Hello,

From the information you provided, it looked one Qt module cannot be found during Fusion 360 startup. The module should be located at "/Users/USER/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/webdeploy/shared/QT/4.8.5_20150215/MAC64_masfixed_2/Qt" if you are using .com MAC build.

Did you remember any special things happened before you ran into the issue? You may have to uninstall/reinstall Fusion 360 to fix the issue now.

Dyld Error Message:
Library not loaded: @rpath/Qt/QtCore.framework/Versions/4/QtCore
Referenced from: /Users/USER/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/*/Autodesk Fusion 360.app/Contents/MacOS/Autodesk Fusion 360
Reason: image not found

Thanks,

Marshal

No, nothing special. I just started Fusion, i didn't have it running since Wednsday last week so i guess it would be trying to update itself but nothing happened, Fusion just hang and i couldn't even quit it (like i already wrote above).

After killing and restarting it this happens - looks like the update probably went wrong.

I'm dead in the water tonight!  heeelp me.... 😞  I have a couple deadlines coming...

Same thing happened to me on my mac -- image not found QtCore.  QT is located at ~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/webdeploy/shared/QT/4.8.5.503471g/MAC64/QT

Looks like there was an update from 2.0.1876 to 2.0.1909.  I was saving a copy of a file (but put in parens and colons), the app crashed, and when I started up I get the following:

Hi,

Sorry to hear of your troubles with Fusion. Are you using the MAC version installed from Autodesk.com or the Apple Mac Store?

Also, can you send us your install log file. This is called autodesk.webdeploy.streamer.log and can be found in the /users/username/library/logs folder.

While the update may have been running in the background it shouldn't have been the cause of any issues in the current session. We have tested scenarios where save operations are being executed during updates and have not seen errors such as yours. However our workflow may not necessarily match what you're doing or on your configuration. While you should be able to resolve this with an uninstall/reinstall (instructions below) it would be good for us to learn more about what you have and/or were doing prior to launching Fusion in an effort to mimic this in our testing.

  • Have you rebooted the system and re-tried launching Fusion? There may be a streamer or program thread stuck in memory causing the condition.
  • Has anything been changed/modified/added on the system since the last update? e.g. antivirus, firewall, malware apps, other CAD apps installed, etc.
  • Were you using any specifc apps prior to using Fusion? Solidworks? Inventor?
  • What OS are you running and have any Mac updates been applied since the last update/install?
  • Other than Fusion, what other apps are most used on this system? Have any others failed to launch or exhibited strange behavior?

To potentially resolve this perform a "clean" uninstall/reinstall.

To do this go to LaunchPad > Remove Autodesk Fusion 360.

Once completed launch Finder:

         1. Using Finder navigate to /users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/.

         2. Check for and delete the following folders if they exist:

               - Autodesk Fusion 360

               - MC3

               - FusionDoc 2016

               - Synergy

               - Neutron

               - Neutron Platform

               - NINVFUS

               - production

               - Web Services

               - Webdeploy

         3. Next, in Finder go to the following folders and remove the listed folders/files:

               - /users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Common - If present, delete the Material Library folder.

               - /users/<username>/Downloads - If present, delete Fusion 360 Client Downloader.dmg.

               - /users/<username>/Library/Caches/com.autodesk.senddump

               - /users/<username>/Library/Logs/autodesk.webdeploy.streamer.log
               - /users/<username>/Library/Preferences/com.autodesk.fusion360.Autodesk Fusion 360.plist
               - /users/<username>/Library/Preferences/com.autodesk.MC3Framework.plist
               - /users/<username>/Library/CrashReporter/MaterialLibraryMigrator...plist

-/Library/Application Support/ - If present and empty delete the Autodesk folder.

         4. Finally, launch a Terminal window.

         5. At the prompt enter open $TMPDIR and press <Enter>.

         6. In the Finder window if present, move the following folders to the Trash:

             - Autodesk

             - Neutron

             - proteinrun

         7. Once done, close Finder, then close Terminal.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Kevin Baribault
