Fusion: Adding new backgrounds for rendering?

Anonymous

We're wondering if there are any other 3D environments to choose from for rendering in Fusion.

Specifically:

1. sidewalk or modern plaza outdoor setting, and

2. a contemporary indoor lobby/public space (like an airport or train station or mall type of space.)

Or where can we find and import new environments/backgrounds?

Free hdri maps from second link are mainly taken in place where I live, like to use them from time to time.

@Anonymous remember that images must be in hdri format.

Hi @Anonymous,

The Environment library in Fusion has a "Plaza" environment (which you have probably seen).

Although we don't specifically recommend any site, you could browse through the following:

https://www.hdri-hub.com/free-hdri-environments-for-download or

http://www.hdrlabs.com/sibl/archive.html

The other alternative is to use a camera to capture the HDRI environments yourself. We have used Ricoh theta S camera to do captures and have got pretty good results. I hope this helps.

Thanks,

Hi!

Does anyone have insight on where one might find HDRI files of interior design spaces/sets?

Thanks in advance!!!

My focal length is incorrect for some reason how is it possible to correct the 360 length or where show I take the picture.

Should I place the samsung 360 camera in the ground and take the picture to have a better focal length

I would like to have some guidance in this matter since them I can provide to all the users some good 360 environment for free

Hey! You've gotta check out HDRI Haven. It's a fantastic resource for HDRI.

HDRI Haven does look amazing but for all of their files I get an error that the file is not in the Latitude/Longitude format. Any idea of workarounds for getting them into Fusion360? thanks!

If you want help you need to be more specific.

I use external HDRI images all the time and it works just fine.
