Fusion 360 User Settings

Hi,

Is it possible to make Fusion remember your user settings for the interface? For example, it seems to reset the window layout, reset the toolbar etc. You pin a command to the toolbar, it's there for a while then disappears. This happens after every update. Is there an equivalent of Inventors "ApplicationOptions.xml" file into which you can save your settings?

today, the short answer is "no".  Toolbar customization is a per-machine setting, unlike other options.  The thinking behind that is different computers might have different display sizes and resolution, and trying to apply settings from a 4K monitor to a 1280x1024 machine might give undesirable results.

Sure, if enough customers think this is a high priority, it can certainly be added.  At this point, though, it does not appear to be highly requested.  The IdeaStation item for this:  associate-toolbar-layout-with-user-rather-than-installation so far has only 11 votes...
