Fusion 360 - Possible to do dynamic finite element analysis?

Hello everybody 🙂

I just followed the "Simulation Deep Dive" Tutorial from the 360 Youtube Channel (here: Youtube-Link).

Am I right that it is only possible to do static fe analysis? Dynamic fe-analysis with high velocities and big deformations are not realizable (e.g. crash tests) ?

Hope somebody could help, thanking you in anticipation 🙂

Kind regards,

Marius

This is the information that I got directly from the video.

Thank you for your respond.

So I'm right with my assumption. Can somebody explain why it is not possible or is it aim for a future 360 update? Or do I have to change to Simulation Mechanical or Inventor, when I want do to such simulations?

Dynamic FEA with respect to impact is possible with event simulations in f360.

But dynamic can mean a lot of things...f360 cannot do Harmonic Analyses or kinematic stress analysis. That's better left to ANSYS or one of the other big names. I think simscale has a solver for it...but I stick with ansys since it's available.
