Fusion 360 Function. I am new to 360.

Hi, I am a student that is new to 360 and it has worked wonders for me so far. I was wondering is there anyway for me to merge 360 files to make a new one. I have a concept bike tool that I am creating from my product design class and I also have a screw driver in another project that I made weeks ago as a sample. I need to merge the 2 files so that the tool and the screw driver are together. I will if I have to but I would rather now take the time to make another screw driver as the one that I designed is very complex. Please Help. Thanks.

Hi Shane,

By merge, do you just mean that you want both models to be in the same work space?  If so, with one of the models open you should be able to open your data panel, right click on the other model and choose to insert it.  You can also drag and drop a model in (on a Windows machine).  If you are looking to do something else, please let me know and we'll figure that out!

Open the bike design. In the Data Panel on the left browse to your screwdriver, and right mouse click on it. Select insert. It will be copied into your bike design.

Hi Shayne,

Open the tool design. Navigate to the screwdriver design in the data panel, Right mouse click and chose Insert.

You could also start in a completly new design and insert both your designs in to the new one.

Hope this helps,

Bankim
