Fusion 360 Crashes on startup after product update

This morning I ran the update on Fusion 360 that popped up, and immediately the program now crashes on startup rendering it completely unusable. I ran Fusion 360 on another machine and it did the same exact thing. I've uninstalled, restarted, and reinstalled twice and it's still doing it. This is frustrating because I actually have a deadline, and Fusion 360 is leaving me dead in the water. Is there a rollback on the update I can use?

I'm running an Nvidia k5000, Windows 8.1 professional, and intel i7 x980 3.333 ghz.

Hi,

We are sorry to hear about the problems you are having with Fusion. I know you have tried to uninstall and reinstall previously but you might have had data that is not being cleaned up during the uinstall.

You could either follow these instructions to clear that up: http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-...

or

use the "Clear user cache data" command to do it.

Try restarting Fusion after that.

If the problem still persists please send attach your logs gotten using the "Diagnostic Log Files" command.

Thanks,

Hello I think you should look at this posting at this same forum:

Hi,

To provide some closure on this thread, we were able to help Drew get up and running again by switching his graphics settings in Fusion to a different system (DirectX 9 instead of Direct X 11), this can usually be done through the Fusion Preferences, but when Fusion crashes on launch has to be done through manual edits of preference files.

If other Windows users are seeing crashes on launch, please contact me either at matt.pooley@autodesk.com or through a forum private message and I will confirm the cause and help implement the workaround if relevant.

Regards,
