Fusion 360 & Decals

Anonymous
No aplicable

I am a frequent user of ShowCase at work and am now getting my feet wet in Fusion 360 as the final rendering images seem to be better in Fusion 360. I am adding a decal to an array of monitors. When i place a decal on the first monitor, the rest take on the same image. I want each monitor to have a different decal. How do i separate each monitor? I tried unchecking the "Chain Faces" button but to no avail. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Neil

The issue you are dealing with that the monitors are an instance of the same component. If you use the Copy and then Paste New command

This create a new component instead of an instance of the same old component. In this case, you can modify one component without the other showing the same changes.

The below help topic is a bit more elaborate in explaining the differences between Paste and Paste New.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,
