Forming a skateboard mold from a finished deck

Hi guys,

Right now I have this skateboard modeled up really nicely. My problem is that I intended to use it to form a 2 part rectangular mold with the drill holes included. I've been having trouble getting boundary fill to work and for some reason using combine+cut doesn't work for me.  Any tips would be greatly appreciated! I've attached the final skateboard that I've created. What I'm trying to do is essentially create a mold like this.

Same as the video, but not as elaborate,

used patch Offset, Patch for the holes, and a Sweep.

Might help....

@davebYYPCU: Great work. I haven't done it myself but I remembered the video.

I'm curious about what material you'll use to manufacture a 1mm thick skateboard?

Ooh, I never measured it, but was going to comment that the "finished board" has no draft yet,  and sketches were not constrained, but forgot when writing the post.

I plan on using extremely thin veneer. This was just for getting a mold for pressing blank boards. I wanted to print a mini test mold to get a feel for the shape before I go all out and get a full-sized one machined.

That sounds like a good way to do it.
