Flip dimension, how??

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello community!  I am wondering if there is a way to flip sides of the leader.  I have started making drawings and it sure would be nice to be able to.  please see attached image.

I would like to make the underlined dimension be placed in the empty circle.

Thanks

@Anonymous

As far as I have found you can't. The only time I have found it to flip is if you place it under the area being measured and not above it.

Bummer..  Thanks Phil.  I just tested what you had mentioned and it does flip but it is not where I desire the dimension.  I guess I will suggest this to ideas.

Thanks again

Any idea when this bug (found four years ago) will be fixed?

I’m not sure what you are referring to. What is the fix to the original post?

No. It’s not notes that are being discussed here. It’s dimensions. See the original post.

Has the option of Leader taken away from Fusion...? Because I am not able to see it... So maybe I misunderstood it with Leader Notes... See the Attached Image...

I don't think that you understand the problem description.

Rather than make up a different problem - can you solve the original problem? (And post the actual file here.)

Sure @TheCADWhisperer , I would like to but where is the Original File...?? Or I should try it with some other file, and than post it here...?

I simply used the original image to create a representative geometry to illustrate the issue.

That's Great.. And sir, can you share the file here..

And again so that I do not go into the wrong issue, can you confirm that the issue is related to Leaders... And that they are not coming towards the left side... ?

Thanks and Regards,

Rushabh Thakkar.

Yes, it has to do with leaders, but not just any leader. It's not talking about a note leader. It is specifically talking about a bent dimension leader. This was shown in the image in the original post as well as a followup post. See the attached images. The need is to be able to locate the dimension on either side of a bent leader. Or, in other words, point the bent leader in either direction.

@brysonwhitedesign and @TheCADWhisperer , as far as I know, there is no Command called Leader or Bent Dimension Leader. The command that exist is Leader Note as far as I know.

If I am wrong, can anyone make a Screencast video showing an example of where it is used... Any model will work ... Not necessary that the original model should be there...

Thanks and Regards,

Rushabh Thakkar.

And here we are, almost 8 years later, and is there any progress???
What are we paying Autodesk so much for if they can't deliver such a simple function?

Complex 2ds get cluttered and hard to decipher without this function.
