Flat pattern won't create when "mitre option" is checked

I am trying to create a sheet metal part that has multiple flanges. I don't want any relief on the notches, and the only whay i could figure out how to do that was to check "mitre option" in the flange dialogue.  The problem is when I try to create a flat pattern, or unfold bends, it errors that there are no bends associated.  I hope someone is able to help.

I am also hoping to adjust the flanges so that one has a half overlap on the other.  I plan to attempt this in the flat. any ideas for that is also appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for reaching out to the forum and sharing the f3d file for investigation.

In your file, the Sheet Metal rule in use has extremely small Miter gap value 1E-05mm because of that EdgeFlange2 edges are touching each other, so unfold / flat pattern fails.

Please try increasing that value to 0.1 mm for example and it works. Please see the attached part file Top Lid v3_Modified_ADSK.f3d for your reference

Hope it helps.
