Fit point spline isn't editable

I've seen similar posts but they were old. I'm trying to do a simple trace with a fixed point spline (2d) and as soon as I click away or press escape you can't go back and edit the splines. 

What I'm doing 

1. create sketch

2. fixed point spline, trace object

3. click check mark circle when done 

4. Spline tool is still activated, so click escape so you can edit splines 

5. Can't click anything corresponding to the spline.

I do not see any issues editing point locations and adding points.

I don't have any issues editing the spline handles.  All of the spline handles have either a vertical or horizontal constraint applied so those would have to be removed if you want to change the angle.  The length of the spline handles are free to move because no constraints have yet been applied.

I closed out Fusion and re-opened and everything seems to be working correctly now. Thank you for responding.
