Finding the radius (fillet measurement) of a rounded edge

I am attempting to replicate a rectangle with rounded edges, and am unsure of how to input the fillet values. Does anyone know of a simple method to determine the radius (and then the fillet value in inches) of a rounded edge?

Thank you.

@office,

I suggest making the feature first (creating the rectangle in a sketch, then extruding it).  Fillets can be made on this feature by selecting the fillet tool under "Modify", clicking on the edges you want filleted, and entering the fillet value.  While this can be done in a sketch, it is best practice to do this on bodies or components.

Hi @office,

Is want to do this:

  • your model already has a body with an existing fillet
  • you create a new fillet, and you want the new one to match the existing one

If so, then Fusion has a little-known way to do that that works well.  While you are in the process of creating the fillet, just click on an existing fillet face (the face, not the edge), and the pending fillet will match the radius of that selected fillet face:

[edit] PS:  Note that this method does not create a parametric relationship between the two fillets - it merely matches the radius of the selected face.  If you are creating a parametric design, then use the Parameter of the first Fillet as the value of the second radius input.

Hi,
You can simply go to fillet and can also set the values constant or variable or others. The best use would be using fillet to the 3d model rather than sketch fillet.
