Fillet problem

Hi,

I can not understand why fillet modifier work with edge 1, but can not work with edge 2.

Spoiler
Error: The fillet/chamfer could not be created at the requested size.
Try adjusting the size, deselecting some of the edges (try disabling Tangent Chain), or using multiple separate operations.

What i am doing wrong?

We'll pass this one off to our geometric modeling team.  But, in general, this error indicates pretty much what it says:  Fusion just can't create the fillet for this edge.  There may be something in particular with this edge.

we'll let you know what we find.  Thanks for sharing the model

The fillet smaller radius work well for this edge, does it mean that edge is ok?

I repeat my geometry in solidworks, and look like in sw fillet modifier work good for both edges:

Thank you for the reply.

I'm having the same problem when trying to fillet edge 2 in my model below. As you can see I was able to create a fillet on the exact same geometry (edge 1). I can create a fillet on edge 2 where the edge is straight, but it will not create the fillet on the curved portions of the edge. Has there been any resolution to this issue?

I made a Screencast to show how you can get the radius you want, although I have no idea why the radius doesn't work on those edges in the first place. Pull the faces of the cylinders up, then make the fillets. Now cut the cylinders down by using split body.

@jeff.strater There seems to be a problem with the 'Split Body' command in this case shown in the screencast. That is, when I did the split body, I expected both legs to be split, but only one was. Repeating the 'Split Body' did manage to split off the other leg. This should have worked in one step, not two.
