start by checking your sketch. Is it imported geometry? Using imported geometry directly in fusion for 3d operations is a dicey proposition. It generally needs to be rebuilt with native fusion curves to be useful.
Many fonts are also pretty bad geometry wise.
check your sketch with a curvature comb.
