Files not uploading

Starting last week my models are not uploading.  I have had a few saves complete successfully but usually I get the spining progress wheel for hours.  It does this on 3 different computers on 3 different networks.  I saved a file last night on my home machine and when I go to open it this morning on my work machine it tells me it's in the process of being saved and forces me to open an older version.  I have had this happen several times.  Anyone else having this issue?

Thanks!!!

Hey Tim!

Sorry to hear about the troubles uploading. Could you post a copy of the Diagnostic Log files here?

Diagnostic Log Files_.png

We can review the applog files located in the Autodesk Fusion 360 folder to see what is uploading or failing to uplaod.

Thanks,

Tim,

Did you shut the lid perhaps while it's still saving?

Thanks,

No sir, it's an iMac.  I just left it uploading...  When I save and walk away I can come back hours later and it's still trying to upload or I have an upload failed message.

This happens on all my machines at 3 different locaitons.

I tried clearing my cache on all computers.  Didin't fix the problem.  I have discovered if I export my model as a .f3d file I can then upload it sucessfully.  Otherwise it will not save.  The autosave function fails also.

Hi,

Thank you for providing the log files earlier, they definitely indicate that there were issues while uploading a guitar model, however we weren't able to pinpoint what was causing the issue from those files. Since it seems you are still having issues, could you use the Diagnostic Log Files command to collect a set of data and forward to me at matt.pooley@autodesk.com. This will let us dig deeper into what may be happening.

In addition, could you provide a brief description of the symptoms you are seeing now, it sounds as though the problem may have changed a little since your original issue (possibly after you cleared caches).

Matt, I just emailed the dignostic log files to you.  No, the problem is the same as I was initally experiencing. Saves and autosaves fail.  I can however export the model as a .f3d file and then it will let me upload it successfully.  I just can't save.

Thanks!!!

If I should start my own thread please let me know.  I now have 2 files that will not upload, one of them has been stuck for 1 to 1-1/2 months or so.  When I open Fusion my CPU usage goes to 35%-65% with out opening any models or any thing else running.  This is getting bad enough that I can't ignore it so here I am.  I think this started after the July 25th update, but not sure.  Most files are uploading fine.

I have attached my log files if needed, I hope.

Any help would be appreciated.

On Edit-  When I open the Data Panel CPU drops to 10% and it looks like there is only one file that is trying to upload, perhaps 2 versions of it?  Last save date is 9-18-15.  When I close the Data Panel the CPU useage jumps back up to 40% or so.  I can open and work with the problem file.

@CGPM Do you know which file is stuck? (I didn't look in the log files)

If you don't need the file, then you may consider clearing your local user cache. Be warned that if the design has not yet synced to the cloud, that clearing the local cache may delete it permanently without possibility for recovery.

I hope that helps. Let me know either way.

Thanks,

Hi CGPM,

Looking at your log files, I believe we can recover your issue, it appears that something has happened to cause a disconnect in file names on your local disk. The workaround is to copy and rename a couple of files so the expected data can be found.

I'll send some instructions through a Private Message, hopefully we can get you unblocked.

I am having the same issue.  Was your problem resolved?  When I started my  project files were uploading properly.  Soon after I started, I went into working offline because I was not going to be near wifi or a direct link the internet.  When I returned to the internet, none of my work will upload and I cannot show my work to my client.  Please help if you are still following this thread.  I also can not see my work when I go into online mode.  The work is only visible in off-line mode and I can not find the file name exactly as I have named it.  All files that start with the same name on my hard drive end in a series of numbers & letters, see example:  Ajax-Press-01 v2-01.a7972433-0433-4bc1-afbb-b554d95ef410.f3d

Hi Dthoffman,

Sorry for the inconvenience. Would you please use "Diagnostic Log Files" command under help menu to dump out your local log files for us to have an analysis? Then we could check whether your problem is the same as CGPM or not.

Thanks,

Fred

Hi,

I'm having the same problem, starting about an hour ago.

I can create a component, but I cannot save it.

And I keep getting this error, "Fusion 360 Unable to create A360 item for this file, please try again later".

I can however "Capture Image" and that will upload quite happily.

I can also "Export" the component to my computer, but I cannot then upload it.

In both cases, saving and uploading, the file appears for a short while in the data panel before vanishing.

I have tried to upload other components and get the same result. So it is not just the particular component that I am working on.

Any help would be welcome.

Regards,

Brett.

Hi,

Just a quick follow-on.

I shut down and restarted Fusion.

It has done an update, and now everything seems to be working.

So not sure what the problem was.

Regards,

Brett

Thanks for the reply. Attached is the Log file you wanted. I will be away
from the computer most of the day, but I will be anxious to read your
reply. This is a big job for me. I like the software so far and I hope
that we can fix this.

Hi David,

I'm sorry that I didn't see the attachment log file that you attached. How did you attached the file, via the post message or sending mail directly? But from both mail and forum message, I didn't see the log files.

Would you please have a double check. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks,
