FEATURE REQUEST: Adding Volume to physical Properties

When adding a note in the drawing workspace. I would like to have the option to assign the 'Volume' property to the note. Now you only see 'Mass' as an option.

Oh and why is 'Dimension Units' linked to the 'Volume Units'? For example when you switch from 'mm' to 'm' the properties panel switches the volume units from 'g' to 'kg'. In many cases I want to see the 'mm' as dimension units and 'kg' as volume.

I hope this will be possible in a future update!

Hi @RinkBergsma

Thank you for sharing this feedback. Every customer request that we get, from meetings, emails, forum posts etc. gets collected and categorized in our feature request database. This information is used to prioritize the features that we build. I've added your request for “Volume” as a drawing property to our database.

Regarding Mass, this is already fully customizable. You can set your mass up in the drawing, or better yet, in your template file, via Document Settings.

In an existing drawing, you can choose what is displayed in parts lists (Double-Click);

And if you have mass units in your title block, you can set these up by double-clicking on the title block and choosing how you'd like them to appear.

When adding a note in the drawing workspace, it would be helpful to have the option to assign the 'Volume' property to the note. Currently, only 'Mass' is available as an option.

Additionally, it would be beneficial to decouple 'Dimension Units' from 'Volume Units'. For example, when switching from 'mm' to 'm', the properties panel automatically changes the volume units from 'g' to 'kg'. However, in many cases, users may want to see 'mm' as dimension units and 'kg' as volume.

I hope this feature can be implemented in a future update!
