Failed to Get Owner Occurrence Transform Part Deux

So I get the warning that the reference failed to get the owner occurrence transform. I looked it up here and followed the directions given in the previous post. I imported a component from McMaster Carr. I have done this several times without a problem. Maybe it has something to do with the latest update. I first tried importing the component that goes into the pin slot from my collection. When I got the error I imported the component from McMaster. Same error. I redefined all of the sketch planes. No change. It seems I take two steps forward and one backward. So I have gone back and "cleaned up" some previous work. I will continue to move forward and ignorre this warning for now. But I am sure it will come back to bite me later. But I had to put it here in the forum in case it was a real bug and not just me. If it was just me, then slap me upside the head! I attached the file so you can see what I have done.

hi Im1in260m,

I'll take a look at your model this morning.  I will confess that the message you're getting is not very helpful.

hope this helps,

Hi Im1in260m,

Some of us took a look at your model and inserted a sample mcmacster standard part in it.

It just worked 😞

Which McMaster part were you inserting? Also, can you please send your logs?

Thanks!

hi  Im1in260m,

so while our QA team tries and disects the problem, I've gone ahead and recreated your gantry sub assembly and everything works fine.  I've uploaded the .f3d file here so you can upload it to your project in the data panel and insert it into your cnc design from there.

I'd recommend saving a new version first with your gantry delted from the design completely(sketches, joints, everything) and just keeping the base, deck, angle and x-axis components.

Also I noticed some unusual ways you created your base assemblies and think you may be able to do this a bit more effeciently.  I've included a model with your base, deck and angles recreated in place of how they would be assembled.  toggle your way around/through the timeline to see how I created your model using a few simple sketches in place.  I'd be happy to have a further conversation with you regarding modeling structure and effeciency.  you can email me directly me at <jamie.gilchrist@autodesk.com>

will follow up when I find out what was driving the problem.

hope this helps.

Any recollection of what that may have been?

Hi @JamieGilchrist

I'm really hoping you will be able to help me out with this problem. I have been going through pretty much all the threads out there on this problem, and none of the solutions help me. I'm tearing my hair out.

I have a fairly complex model and I have gone quite a way back on my history tree to change a dimension in a sub assembly (three of the same copied component and one more path patterned. After the change, (still in the sub assembly) I scrolled forward and found a sketch and extrude error for the pattern path component. I have tried re-defining the sketch plane but that does some very strange things, giving green projected geometries upside down. I have tried deleting the sketch and redrawing it, but then I can't project anything onto it at all. If I ignore all the warnings or simply delete or suppress the errored parts and scroll the history forward one more step the the pattern path Fusion crashes and that is the end of that. I have been trying to solve this for three days. Please please please help. What do you need?

Hi Jamie,

Thank you so much for your reply. I have sent an invitation for you to collaborate on the model as it is pretty sensitive information and I don't want to share it publicly. Please let me know if you get it. Really appreciate this.

I still do not know what the warning on timeline 'Failed to Get Owner Occurrence Transform' means or how to fix it. My warning is associated with an extrude action. Is there a list of error/warning messages, explanations of what they mean and what could have caused them, and how to fix with examples of each that I can access?

Hi Peter. Thank you for your offer to help however I prefer to not attach
the file even if I knew how. Even though I referred to an example of a
warning I have in my file my question is more generic. I want to be able to
clean up all errors/warning both now and in the future and am really seeking
a list of all possible error/warning messages, explanations of what they
mean, etc.
