failed to build thread tool body

Hi,

I use a lot of M12x1.75 female thread holes in my designs.

From time to time I encounter the following problem that Fusion only wants to draw M12x1.0 threads instead of M12x1.75 and gives failed to build thread tool body

What do I wrong,

I make a hole  of 10 mm. diameter and  25 mm. deep

I select thread - a face -Modelled -ISO or ANSI Metric Profile - Size 12 mm.

after that I normally can choose in the Designation area for M12 x 'X' but now and then Fusion will only accept M12x1.0

It only occurs with M12, others work fine.

Does anybody knows what i]I do wrong or what is the cause of this behavior.

regards,

Hi @hans2taverne

Thanks for posting! I had a look into this today and found that I had no problems with either modelled ANSI Metric or ISO 12x... threads, as shown below:

It could be that the XML file used to generate the threads in Fusion was damaged during an update - are you still experiencing this problem? If so, I would begin troubleshooting with a clean uninstall/reinstall of Fusion.

Hopefully this helps! If you continue to see problems, please create a screencast illustrating your workflow - I am happy to have a look.

Paul,

Clean uninstall / reinstall did the job.

Thank you very much.
