F360 bug?

I've been using Fusion 360 for a little while now and I absolutely love it. I don't have a lot of design background and for someone coming from Sketchup this was really awe inspiring.

After the most recent update I've noticed a few things which I'm not sure are bugs. First, while extruding to a face created by a shell I get errors and it does not work. I have to necessarily enter the actual distance for this to work. Video of what I'm talking about is here.

Second, periodically the view cube on the top right becomes non-functional (though everything else works). Video of that is here. I have to restart Fusion 360 for this to start working again.

I'm running Fusion 360 a 2015 Macbook Pro Retina.

For your first error I think you need to select extend faces, personally I think that should be the default.

@bhrishikesh,

I too have seen a non-responsive ViewCube in Fusion.  It does not seem to affect the rest of the software, but clicking on it has no effect.  A re-start also solves it for me.

This seems unrelated to the loss-of-focus issue that is detailed in other posts.  No action on the part of the user (other than a re-start) seems to return ViewCube functionality (clicking in Fusion, switching apps and returning to Fusion, etc).

@neljoshua This should definitely be classified as a bug!

@bhrishikesh

It is. We currently do not know how to reproduce it reliably. It appears to affect some customers more than others, some customers not at all. We are looking for a fix.

If any of you notice that a certain set of steps reliably disables the view cube, please share them to help us reproduce and understand the problem.

(friendly reminder, the golden rule of bugs is this: If it can be reproduced it can be fixed).
