Extruding from a curved surface, and keeping the curve.

Not sure how to describe this, but I have a curved face, and I'd like to pull portions of that face out to make it thicker, and keep the same contour.

The blue selected line represents the curve:

The face is what I'd like to lift/make thicker:

As an example, I'd like to pull this part of this face out and make it thicker than the rest, but retain the contour the face already has:

Would love any pointers on how to best accomplish this.

Cheers!

Yep, that's exactly what I was looking for. Makes total sense, just didn't realize I could extrude FROM an object and not have the sketch geo on the plane/face itself.

Cheers!
