Extrude to Face / Edge / Vertex

Hello! First post and first-time F360 user here - coming from other CAD software and 3D modeling software.

One bit of functionality I'm not seeing that I'm used to in various features is the "to face", "to vertex" or "to edge" options. For example, extruding a face up to another face.

If this is not available in F360 how do you keep your extrusion depth parametric? If, for example, you're trying to extrude something either to match the width of something else that has been driven by a dimension, you don't want to have to manually adjust the extrusion depth if that driven dimension has to change for some reason; and creating a variable / parameter just to address that use case sounds like it will be tedious.

I'm trying to look at things in a different way to see if there are other design approaches that avoid this use case but I think I'm going to miss it a lot. Is there some other technique that people use a lot to allow extrusion depth to be driven by other features or parts?

Similar function is available in Fusion 360, via "Extension Type > To Object" in Extrusion,  or "Type > To" in Revolve dialogues. They are parametric and will get update if the selected entity is moved. Example here

Important note: if you don't select the type to "To (Object)" from the drop down menu and click on a object Fusion still extrudes/revolves to that object but not parametrically; it only sets the extrusion distance or revolve angle to the current value, so don't forget to change the type.

Thanks, @hamid.sh. - one addition I would make.  The "To Object" in Fusion supports only Face, Body and Vertex, but not Edge.

@jeff_strater oops, I should have noted that, especially because @tom3YYFC has mentioned Edge too.

Hi! Yes, I had see that "to object" but wasn't sure which face / vertex etc it would reference. Does it just use the extents of the object? The closest face? Or can you pick the face / vertex on the object that you want to reference?

You select the object that you want to extrude to:

Is there any way to only extrude to a specific vertex like in solidworks?
