It's the extruded cut from the sketch part, and I have no idea how to proceed with my own design.

Can you provide some more info?  It's not clear to me what you are trying to cut here.  This is what I see when I import the DWG attached:

And this doesn't seem to correlate to the video in your post (I only watched the first 5 minutes of the video, but I did not see any geometry that looked like this).

Thanks,

Trying again!

If you can't see it still, then I have copied his EXACT process up until he presses "extruded cut" in his "features" menu, and that precise action is what I'm trying to do also!

Ah, much better...

OK, so I think I see the problem.  I'm not all that familiar with Solidworks, but it seems to have the ability to cut using an "open profile":

Fusion does not have that capability today.  Fusion needs a closed profile to cut  However, there are two ways to accomplish this.

First, you can use Split Body.  In this workflow, you use that same curve to split the body, then remove the half that you don't need.  Here is a screencast showing that method:

The second workflow is to edit the sketch so that it has a closed region.  Here is a screencast showing that method:

I hope one of these will work for you.

Jeff
