Hello,

I have an awkawrd shape that I am trying to join onto the existing body without much luck. I have tried extruding and rotating the body, pushing, pulling, etc, but because the sketch has 4 different size edges as well as being at different angles to the body im trying to join onto... as well as tapering down to 0... it just doesnt work!

Any help would be great.

Thank youUntitled.jpg3.jpgUntitled2.jpg

Please attach your model so the Forum users can use it to try and give you an answer.

If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

Hi,

There are a couple of ways you might be able to do this.

It looks like you can simply go in from the side and extrude the red triangular part straight across and join it to the

other shape. If that does not work then the other way would be to use the red triangle as the Profile and and use the

blue lines as the Path in a sweep.

If they are still not a single body then use combine.

Accepted solution

Create > Surface > Patch - on the open front sketch.

Create > Solid > Loft - select the patch face, and the existing required face.  Set Join.

Might help....

Thank you for your help! I did try that approach but didnt work as both sides are not the same nor are they parallel.
I used the Patch then Loft suggestion from @davebYYPCU

On another note, it would be fantastic to be able to move edges/corners independant to faces one day.

Hi! Another workflow to consider is to use Draft or Move/Copy -> Rotate.

Many thanks!
