exporting shell to solidworks

Greetings,

Anyone had an issue with a exporting a shell object into solidworks and having it become a solid again? I'm exporting/importing with IGES format.

I'm not a Solidworks expert, and it's kinda hard to say without a model or an image, but I do know that some IGES and STEP translators do "auto-stitch" at the end, and will interpret a closed surface body as a solid.  If you round-trip the IGES file back into Fusion, is it OK?

If you'd like share your design, we'd be happy take a look at it, though will probably draw the line if it looks like the problem is on the Solidworks import side :).
