Exporting Drawing to DWG is not compatible with Autocad 2013

Hi,

I have problems to import a dwg file into Autocad which was generated by fusion 360. These are the steps I did:

1) I designed a 3D part in Fusion 360 and created a drawing from this part.

2) I saved the part using output -> output DWG which generates an AutoCAD 2013 Drawing (*.dwg)

3) I tried to open the DWG file in AutoCad Mechanical 2013 but I get the following error message: "Drawing was created by an incompatible version. Mechanical commands will be disabled. The drawing cannot be saved in this version of the software."

Can anyone help me with this problem? Thanks

Hi @Anonymous

Welcome to the Fusion 360 community! Thanks for posting.

Fusion 360 does not allow any specific DWG format options while creating the DWG, so it is possible that the specific format output by Fusion 360 is not supported by AutoCAD Mechanical 2013. To work around this, you could open the drawing in DWG TrueView, which is freely available and should allow you to save the DWG files in an older format that will be supported by Mechanical 2013.

Hopefully this helps - please let me know if you have any questions!
