Export section as step file does not work as desired

I want to create a section from a solid and export this view with section view as a step.

If I create the desired section via Inspect -> Section Analysis and select File->Export->Step, it always exports the complete solid without section.

In the past this worked but I don't remember what I did differently. Can you help me please?

hmm... I don't think that export ever acted on the sectioned model.  The sectioning only works on the graphics, not on the model, so I don't see how this ever could have worked, to be honest, but I am always ready to be proven wrong.  You could use Split Body.

Now I have got it right. Using Silhouette Split, I was able to cut the model and export it as desired. Thanks!
