I have a fusion model with decal (I don't have image for this decal). I can't figure out if there's any way to export it into image? I can move decal around but I can't get image out of it 😞

Are you trying to get an image of your model with an applied decal?

You will probably not find a way of "extracting" the image file from the decal.  Your only bet is to position the decal, square to your view and use the Capture Image command under the File menu.  Then you can clean it up in your favorite image editing application.  Make sure you use Custom settings so you can get the size and resolution your desire.

Im trying to keep a decal on a model to 3d print. Every time I save the file the decal disappears. It's a flat Keychain that I want to (ideally deboss) a decal into. Any suggestions how to save it so the deal stays. I have them each saved as a separate model. I've tried to combine them but it just puts the larger over the smaller and then it disappears, add a negative, the join option won't highlight to use, and ive used the regular decal option but it doesn't stay on after I save. I have fusion, prusa and the elegoo slicer to work with.

A decal is only cosmetic for rendering, you can not deboss with it and it will not be printable. You will have to trace over it with a sketch or convert the image into an SVG file in a graphics program like Inkscape.

Can you walk me through how to do tht on inkscape and then be able to get it to deboss? Im fairly new to 3d printing. I stumbled through creating a cup holder adapter for my daughter's owala. (12 hrs of tinkering and 3 failed test prints, but I finally got everything set and corners rolled correctly so I didn't have stray filament sticking all over)

Think I may have stumbled my way into getting it done. Running a test print now. Thanks for the help so far

Hi,

If you show pictures for clarification, the risk of being misunderstood is reduced and it is easier to answer specifically.
