Expanded Sheet Metal Project

I am currently working on a project that requires the use of flat expansion metal and have not been able to figure out the best method of creating this in Fusion360.  Does anyone have any suggestions for me with this?

It really depends on how you'll be using the model: Visually accurate or shape to be manufactured.

If the model is fairly small, you can model one diamond shape, then use a rectangular pattern to create the full shape.  The problem with this is large patterns cause Fusion 360 to slow down to the point where it is unusable or crashes. 

For semi-visually accurate, you can use an image of expanded metal as a decal on a flat sheet.  This conveys the impression of expanded metal, but doesn't slow down Fusion 360.
