Example Files for Tutorials?

Anonymous
Not applicable

I'm running through the tutorials from Autodesk for Fusion 360.

My install does not include these files  e.g.  cylinder bracket.stp

In fact I don't have any .stp files, is it possible to download them?

Hi, welcome to Fusion 360!

We have a number of tutorials and places to access them. So it's not clear which you are referring to.

Can you tell me how you got to these tutorials? And also which one(s) you are trying to do?

Thanks,

Boy... ?/ what a surprise, Autodesk does not know what is on their own site...?

"We have a number of tutorials and places to access them. So it's not clear which you are referring to."

We are not talking of "number of your tutroials", we are talking about the "SECOND" Video in the welcome pages you have http://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/learn-training-tutorials ..?? and in the second video linked on that page "http://fusion360.autodesk.com/learning/learning.html?guid=GUID-E4BC8EA2-1872-4F33-9E91-AF6461F056C1&...

the TuT imports a "cylinder bracket".stp .. i hope know you are aware what we are talking & referring about.. ??

Can you inform from where can we download the files, so that we can follow along with the tutorials shown by Autodesk on its own page http://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/learn-training-tutorials

when companies don't respect the fact that newbie cannot fathom the greatness of their software, it end up in a mess..

where to find the files in the tutorials? its simple took me 6 hrs to get to this..

where are the thousands of tutorials, ? all over the place,
where are the tutorials for beginners / newbies  http://help.autodesk.com/view/NINVFUS/ENU/?guid=GUID-18445C60-F9AD-4217-8066-CA48FA11E514
where are the files.. ?? ok is not that simple..

?? what is the "Data Panel" ...? and how do you browse to ..?

click on the 3x3 check box on the top left ( see image below )
click on the < arrow again on the top extreme left
double click on the "basic training" under "Samples"

that's it you have the samples files..  enjoy the tutorial on how2..

for a start there is a number of places on the ADSK web site to do fusion training, and other places as well.

if you watched the

Get started with Fusion 360

12 tutorials in under 60 minutes

it's on the 5th one (data panel is said about in it)

http://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/learn-training-tutorials?_ga=1.10778228.1390190670.14704...

I'm running through the tutorials from Autodesk for Fusion 360. yep what one is a fear question.

if you put the Autodesk fusion 360 / help

Lesson 1: Modeling based on Sketches

there is a reasion for http://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/learn-training-tutorials?_ga=1.40729186.1390190670.14704... for this to first pop up so you watch the vids an get a idea of how things are done.

it is broken into 12 section so you get a quick overview of where stuff is then ones you have been through this section you click on See all Fusion 360 learning to get into the training.

so reset you hels and start with http://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/learn-training-tutorials?_ga=1.40729186.1390190670.14704....

then move on as you will have a idea where everything is.

outright ranting and flying off the deep end when you give an ambiguous question and are ask for a confirmation of what one you are referring to makes life easier for you and the staff member so he or she can give you the info you need.

at the moment they are redoing all the learning so you start with the the overview vids, then move on to the training.

we try our best to be a professional at all times on this forum, we dislike people going ape and you will get told by a staff member or a forum member to cool down the forum admin are forgiving to a point and if a forum member says to cool down and you do it gets left behind.

so we will start again.

live long and prosper

Hi and welcome to the Fusion 360 community.

Since this is an older post, and since I'm not sure why you posted that link, can you help me out? I'd love to make sure you are heard properly here! Please let me know what I can do for you.

Same problem here. Just installed the software and started with the lessons that your site suggested. I'm at

Getting Started for Absolute Beginners / Getting Started in Fusion 360 / Lesson 3: Open/Close/Save

As you can see it's about opening files, you can't get more beginner than that. Guess what... at 2:10 I have to upload a file from my computer to your cloud and... the files aren't there. I searched my full hard disk for these files and they are nowhere. So where are the files? I would like to rant but I don't have time for that. Besides, somebody else was so friendly to rant for me.

If you would simply give a web link to all the files of the tutorials then everybody would be happy. I don't need a long explanation, just tell me where I can download the files.

Regards,

That's not really helping, is it? 🙂
I say I can't find them, you say they are with the course??? I can see the
course but not the files. That is the problem.
If they are so easy to find, could you please give me an http link to them.
Thank you.

To be clear: Are you saying that you can see the page shown in the image above, but cannot see the set of links that is displayed along the right hand side of the page? Can you provide a screen capture image showing what your entire screen looks like?

If that is true, I am curious about how you got into this problem because that would be a serious bug for other customers as well as you.

Thanks,

Thanks for the quick reply. I read your reply via email, which did not include the screenshot. So your reply wasn't "helpful". Now that I see your reply on the forum with the screenshot, everything becomes obvious. Thanks.

Maybe a small pop-up can be added to the videos that the files are not installed on your hard disk and that you have to download them. At 2:10 in lesson 3 one is asked to open files that should be installed on your hard disk together with the Fusion 360 software. But they aren't, which is confusing. I watched other videos and several times ( sorry, don't have list ) one is asked to open files from your hard disk but none of them are there. Maybe something to fix...

Great software, by the way...
