Error: R-Pattern1 Compute Failed on body splitting

Hey all,

I am a completely newbie trying to improve my skills with Fusion 360. Currently I am trying to create a basic boat hull, following a superb youtube tutorial. When trying to split the body I am running into a constant error, which I am not able to fix for more than one day now: Error: R-Pattern1 Compute Failed

I have attached the f3d file. Perhaps some of the experts directly see what I am doing wrong. The point where I am failing is here: https://youtu.be/9zCteq0qkZM?t=1354

Thanks for your support, really appreciate.

EDIT: as soon as I keep the Quantity <= 6 it works. Any number bigger no matter of Distance leads to the R-Pattern1 error. I am clueless. 😕

Best,

Johannes

Hi @Anonymous

This does seem a strange one, I've tried doing the split at different points in the timeline, and it seems like it's the shell command that causes the issue, I have raised the issue internally, I will update you on the outcome

Thanks

Hi @Anonymous

Just received some feedback, it does seem like it's a data-dependent issue, it will be raised internally.

Thank you for your help in bringing this to our attention.

As a workaround, I'd suggest, pattern the sketch and make individual split body operations.

Thanks

Lee
