Error Message: No available components for exploding.

I have an assembly full of components and sub-assemblies, but when I go to explode it, it says "No available components for exploding." Why is this happening? I was thinking it was because I didn't have any joints built in. I added an As-Built Joint in, and the popup still happened.

I need the exploded view to make a technical drawing to show assemble directions. If there's another way to accomplish this, that would be great!

All you have to do is drag and select the component and then use the explode feature.

I want to Auto Explode them, though. Are you saying my only option is to
manually explode it?

No, just select the whole model and press the auto Explode button.

I first just selected the components by dragging my mouse over the model, which didn't work. I tried selecting them by clicking on the top part of the tree, then the next one down labeled "Components", and finally it worked when I clicked on the next one down in the Browser tree.

Now I'm trying to fix the auto-explode, and Restore Home won't work. Then I'm trying to manually explode pieces to fix it, and in order to move the sub-assemblies, I have to click on each component within it. That means I have to click on 45 components to move 9 sub-assemblies that didn't move with the other 16 identical sub-assemblies. Then when I try to manually explode, they won't move, but they will move when I transform them. Then if I want to transform the sub-assembly, it won't give me the drag arrows if I click on the sub-assembly, but if I click on its components, then I get them.

Is Fusion 360 just not reading my components correctly? Or is it just this terrible?
