Erratic animation behavior

When I am in the animation work space I seem to be able to ad Camera view elements and capture parts moving  but when I play it back it keeps adding in unwonted Camera view elements or splitting existing ones.

Hopping someone might have an idea why this happens.

This is because you have the "record" button activated.  Anytime you zoom or rotate (move the camera), it captures this move in the animation timeline.

What I typically do is leave the record button on, do all of my explodes, moves, and camera moves.  Then, I go back and delete all the camera moves in the animation timeline and create the actual camera moves I want.

I show this in a LiveStream I recorded awhile back.  Starts at about 18:20 in the video:

Thank you tallisb,

I did finely realize that I needed to pause the camera view, but now when I do that and play back the sequence the timeline bar moves across the view line but there is no movement of the captured camera views.

Hi Brad,

Thank you so much for your reply.

I am still baffled.

I delete the unwonted camera icons, move the time bar to the scratch zone, then move the model to wear I want it to start from at the bottom corner, then start the recorder move to home then move to front view stop the recorder, and then if I playback with the time bar back on the scratch zone there is no camera moves, but if I unpause the camera then playback the animation it does the camera moves then adds more of them in.

It's just doing my head in.

Thanks Matt
