Equal constraints for rectangles

I have multiple rectangles that I want to constrain using the equal constraint. I can constrain circles, but having a hard time constraining multiple rectangles at the same time. Can this be done and if so, can somebody explain to me how

Hi,

You can only assign constraints  to single elements, but not to profiles made up of several lines.
Create a rectangle and a pattern from it.

This is easy to do, but you can select only one vertical line and one horizontal line in each rectangle, therefore you must use Crossing Window selection filter rather than Window selection.

I don’t think it can be done as a rectangle has four sides whereas a circle is one continuous item. Like I mentioned can have two different size circles, and use the equal constraints to make them same, but if I have two different size rectangles and either way I select both, my windows select or windows cross select and try to use the equal constraint, it tells me that I’m over constrained. Maybe I’m doing something wrong and if so, can you please show me. It’s a very simple test. Create two different size rectangles and try to use the equal constraints to get them to Be the same size.

You are correct - a circle is just a single item, while a rectangle is not - it is composed of 4 separate lines.  You can, however, do it with two equal constraints:
