Hi, how can import a engrave file?
For example, our cad department, send the engraving files in .step

In powermill, hypermill, the software recognises the the line projected in the model

But in fusion , when I open the same file, and empty documents appears, no body, no sketch

Hi,

STEP is a 3D exchange format.
Sketches are not exported.

Attach the STEP file in question.  You can always work back to a sketch from the model is needed but simply engraving can probably be picked up from the model.

If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

Hi! I believe you will need to export the file as an AutoCAD dwg (including the wires and the bodies). Then import it to Fusion.

Many thanks!

I will try to export to dwg like you said.

I know that fusion can export DXF files and import, they can be used has engraving files(sketch)

But I can't export .stp to .dxf using powershape

Im still trying to figure with cad department the best way to work with engraving lines.

Like I said, I powermill, powershape, hypermill, they work well with .stp lines.

In fusion, I need to convert or ask cad (CATIA and NX) to convert those lines in dxf files.

In powershape gives me a error to export, don't understand why.
