Embed Fusion 360 3D model in powerpoint

Hi,

would like to embed a Fusion 360 model in a ppt.

I've found out that Powepoint developer tab allows you to embed a web page in a ppt.

I've made it work with google, but I was not succesful with the embed link of my Fusion 360 model. I get a script error.

That model can open with IE 11, Chrome, Firexfox, Edge which are installed on my Win 10 x 64 machine.

I'm not a website programmer or expert, but behaviour makes me think that Powerpoint is invoking an older browser (like IE9).

Have you been succesful in embedding your Fusion 360 model in a ppt ?

Is there a way to invoke another browser (like Chrome) when using the WebBrowser.1 method ?

Have you tried using the Microsoft Web Viewer add-in for PowerPoint?

If I use the URL of the Item Details in my Hub's dashboard, I can sign in and access it during a powerpoint presentation.

Hope that helps.

Hi Nathan,

I was so enthusiastic after reading your post.

I installed web viewer addin on my machine, and I could successfully embed a 3D model and I could view it.

I then decided to do the same thing on my presentation, so I closed powerpoint, and opened my presentation.

It didn't work anymore, it shows it's loading forever.

I tried disabling antivirus and firewall, and lowering all security settings in powerpoint, but to me it feels like it's the Autodesk server that refuses a second connection requested from inside powerpoint.

In order to show you this weird behaviour, I could make a test on another clean machine which you can see on this video:

The first time it will go, then it won't work anymore.

What do you think could be the issue ?

Thanks,

Alex

I tried to use this step by step to create a presentation, but unfortunately the viewer is just loading, there is another alternative.

Greetings!
