Is it possible to edit a pattern that has been patterned?

Thanks for the video. Actually I'm wondering weather it is possible to edit a pattern that has itself been patterned. Both the right click and double click methods of editing a pattern don't seem to  work on a nested pattern...

Paul,

Patterns are non-associative and with no history you will need to remove the items that are not working out for you and recreate your patterns.
