Hell guys, i just want to know if there is any way i can edit my title block so that i can fit all my parts on a 11x17 sheet of paper? I do not want to use the next size up which is 22x17 i believe. If i can't edit my title block, i just want the cabinet hardware to be shown on the parts list, thanks.

I suspect by edit you mean have a different size or custom title block, unfortunately the answer is no.  To edit the info in the title block double click it.

My model consists of 24 components, 8 of those components are hardware, screws, drawer slides, handle, ect. When i create a new drawing from desing and select a 11x17 sheet size to apply dimensions the parts list is way bigger than my sheet size, which means i have to exclude those components that aren't hardware, so how do i make those non hardware components not show on my parts list without affecting my drawing views? I use a 11x17 sheet size, i do not any bigger size, any help? Thanks.

Hi Justo,

It sounds like you'd like your drawing views to show the entire assembly, but the parts list to contain only the hardware.  Currently this isn't possible.  If you create a drawing of the design the parts list will reflect all of the components in the design.  It's possible to create a drawing of just certain components in the design > Select them in the browser (in the design) > right-click > Create New Drawing, and in that case the parts list would show only those components.  But for your case that would be a drawing of just the hardware.  An alternative would be a hardware list using text, but that is not ideal (and not in table form).  Even with the parts list or titleblock moved (or deleted) there's not a lot of real estate left on a B-size sheet for views.

We have plans to enhance both titleblock (user-supplied/modified titleblocks) and parts list (table-wrapping) customization.  I've forwarded your request to our designer.

Thanks,
Chris

Hi Troy - at this point there isn't. Could you tell me a little more about the result you're trying to get? Would increasing or decreasing the sheet size help or do you just need a larger font Title block?

Thanks,

Scott

Hi Scott,

I was making a drawing on 11 x 8.5" and wanted to resize the whole title block area smaller so there is more "real estate" for the drawing.

Thanks,

Troy

Is there going to be a way to make the title block smaller on a drawing template?

Thanks,

Troy

Hi @Anonymous, thanks for following back up with us on this. There is currently no way to edit the size or shape of the title blocks. We are continuing to work on enhancing the title block experience, and you will soon be able to import any existing .dwg title blocks you may have on hand. This will be the next step toward us being able to provide a customizable title block experience directly within Fusion 360's drawing workspace.

Thanks for your patience!

Best,

Timera

When can I edit the size of the title block?

It is too large when using 8.5x11 paper.

Hi Timera,

Is this feature included as yet? I can swap in a DWG to create a new title block as a custom, but is there a way to adjust the existing headers in the default title block? ie. change 'document type' to 'material' or 'finish' etc. potentially add in some other custom areas?

Thanks!

D

Hey @Anonymous, no, not yet. The team has been working hard to get multi-sheet ready for the March update and work on title block attributes hasn't yet started. We have title block enhancements coming later this year. Thanks for following up with us on this!

i'd love to be able to reduce the title block too takes up far too much room at the moment.
