Edit tables in 2d Drawing

Hi evenrybody,

In order to maintain a more redeable view of Components browser I use to create tree view to aggregate specific grouped parts (you can see a screenshot attached)

When I create a 2d drawing of this grouped part and i Put a BOM table inside the sheet I obtain something different : the material row is overwritten using only the first branch material text and second branch of the tree are grouped (as yuo can see I use BOLTS for one type of bolt and one of nut)

May I overwrite this text somewhere or edit BOM tables preference ?

Thank you

Andrea

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for posting! There is no way to edit the automatically created BOM tables in Fusion 360 at this time - this option does appear to be "in progress" for our drawings development team. You can view the Drawings Roadmap at this link for more information on what is coming to the drawings workspace in Fusion.

In the meantime, you may be able to workaround this problem by creating an empty table (rather than a BOM table) and manually inputting the information into the table. While this is time consuming, it will give you more flexibility than the current BOM tool.

Hi,

take a look at:

I was looking to edit the table directly, not edit the actual part.  Something like an actual table editor.

Hi,

take a look at the options.

Are you looking for "Empty table" ?

Hi,

Parts lists are automatically filled by the properties.

What he and I am looking for is to simply use the Auto Parts Table generation then Edit it...Otherwise It's very time consuming to create a complete blank table from scratch. For example, I'd like the default part table without the 'Material' column..

It appears in Fusion Jan 2022 - you 'Double-Click on the table and a 'Parts List' properties dialog will open.

I will offer this is confusing - as Fusion Entities have Right-Click option flyout menus - so one does not know what will access what.

Also, The table properties option should be available from the Right-click AND a double-click.
