Edit joint command not working

Hello!

I have recently came across a possible bug. After doing some research I found two topics here on forums about the same issue marked as solved but with no real fix. The workaround using change parameters does work though.

My problem is of same nature, but I am unable to edit joints not only on inserted parts, but some of the components in design. Unfortunately I cannot share my design, but two links below show what I mean very precisely. All parts inserted were imported from STP214.

I was wondering whether there are any news on it?

Without the file, there isn't that much help that we can provide, if you don't want it to go public, please feel free to invite me to your project : Kaksshi@gmail.com

Hello,
I really don't get it. Today when I updated my main assembly with inserted components those uneditable joints started showing errors and crashed Fusion on undo. What I changed wasn't related to those joints in any way. I promoted older version of main assembly, deleted those components that caused errors on other joints and computed all. Now there are no errors, except those uneditable joints still there. I made a crash report about that.

Have you had any success in solving your problems with joints? It seems to me that mine are exactly the same as yours.

P.S
Thank you @SaeedHamza for replay, but unfortunately I cannot do that right now.

Adam

@jeff_strater @innovatenate can one of you take a look at this ?

@Anonymous If you cannot even share your design with Autodesk employees, then wild guesses is all we can do. This will not help you or Autodesk.

It does sound like bug, but in order to fix these things a cad file is needed.

Hello,

@TrippyLighting
I do realize that. It's not only my decision. The file cannot go public.

I will share the design with Autodesk employee of course but only in a confidential manner.

I went through my timeline and only inserted components joints from STEP files I uploaded to the project are corrupted. I tried to reproduce the bug with no success in a new project by uploading same files to the design.

@Anonymous If you want to send the message to me via private message, you can send me a share link (password protected). I'll be happy to take a look at it closer.

If you're importing STEP files, one tip may be to use the Patch > Inspect > Validate command to check the model geometry for errors. You'll need to be in a direct modeling environment (no timeline). You can do this when you first import the model, or by editing a base feature in the timeline. I note the validate command will not show up in a parametric timeline environment.

As a quick solution, is it possible to delete and recreate the joints in question?

I look forward to your reply.

Thanks,

Hi

@innovatenate I have sent you a message with link and password. I had no luck with recreating joints. Same problem arises.

Hello!

The issue has been recognized as a bug. FUS-34194 is the reference ID.

I am not marking this topic as solved as I am waiting for a solution, not work around.

BIG thanks to @innovatenate for involvement and help!
