How in the heck do I simply edit the thickness of a body? I originally edited the sketch and Push/Pulled it....now I want to set the thickness to a specific value, not an offset of whatever the heck it currently is. How does one do this?
Seems beyond clunky that I can't simply put a dimension on it. Liking the software less and less as I try to do what I consider to be basic things and having trouble at literally every step of the way.
Help please

I gave up. Started from scratch....no idea why everything keeps breaking but it feels impossible to predict when a command will break stuff vs make sense.
Regardless working now that I copied / pasted into yet another new sketch. Wondering what command will break the association next. Oh well.
Thanks

Make sure you are in the Model environemtn and have "Capture design history" tured on.
Then create a sketch with the Sketch conmmand and extrude.
Chances are you either had the timeline turned off or were using one of the primitives (Box, Cylinder, etc.) in the Create menu (or both).

Just use the "Q" button and click on the section to edit the part.

1. This thread is ancient
2. If you've used a sketch to extrude a body, then using push/pull needs to be done with caution. Only if the option is set to modify existing feature this works as expected and edits the original timeline feature. New offset will add another timeline feature. In many cases that's not hat you want.

In addition to the other responses, use the Parameters to precisely modify an extrusion:
It's usually better to ask here before reaching a high level of frustration
