DXF Files slow to respond

I get the occasional DXF files from customers and I find they are EXTREMELY slow to work with. Complex ones end up hanging fusion for several minutes, if not crashing it completely. Any idea?

Are you using InsertDXF from the insert menu? If you use layers in the DXF you have the option to save each layer as a sketch you can then hide sketches to speed things up a bit.
