Duplicate a body

I'm in model mode.
I created a triangle in sketch, finished the sketch and added a appearance. It's what I want. It's a new body now and it's shaped as I like it. Very simplistic, nothing irregular or weird about the design.

The issue is: I can then highlight the body, copy the body, but when I go to paste it as a duplicate of itself anywhere, in any part of the grid, it doesn't work?.

I've tried to open a new sketch, paste the body in a new sketch and nothing shows up. Even on the correct plane.
I've tried to highlight the entire body in the left menu, right click to see if there's a duplicate feature, there isn't.
I've tried to see when I copy the body, if the paste is being pasted over the existing body, it isn't, nor is it on any other plane.

I just want an exact copy of the first triangle with another exact copy right next to it so I can then elongate the second triangle....and then eventually create a third triangle body next to those two for a total of 5 triangles and 5 bodies .

Can you please help, I've watched the videos numerous times and I just can't find a simple duplicate what is highlighted to create a new body.

Quick follow up with more info:
I used push pull to elevate it 25 mm an added a minor 6 mm fillet. It's a basic body built and completed as a body.

I just want an exact copy of it, without having to draw an entire new one right next to it on the grid using sketch. Where does it end up when I highlight the original body, select copy and then try to paste it anywhere.? It takes the command, but nothing is there, it's not stacked and it's not on another plane.

Thanks.

Here is a series of steps that should get you what I think you want.  You are very close, from what I can tell.

If you want to copy/paste the whole body, the easiest way is to select the body in the browser (on the left side of the screen), by left-clicking on the Body1 item.  Then, right-click and choose "Copy":

copy body 1.png

Then, anywhere in the graphics area, right-click again, and you should see "Paste" in the menu:

copy body 2.png

This will paste the body into the model.  It should then immediately put you into the Move command:

copy body 3.png

you can then drag on one of the arrows to position it where you want it:

copy body 4.png

and OK will finish it.  You now have two bodies, positioned in different locations.

I think this is what you want, based on your description.  That, is, because they are separate bodies, you can modify one, and the other will remain the same.  If you want copies of the geometry that will update together, then you would use components, which is a slightly different workflow.

Hope this helps,

Thank you both for the information.

It was the right clicking on left menu interface > Body < to Right click paste on grid that did it. I was using the upper bar to select the paste feature which didn't lead anywhere. Heading back to more learning, it's addictive and a new way to look at things.

Thank you, thank you,
