Drawings useing minutes and seconds

Is there any way to get Fusion 360 drawings to display angles as degrees, minutes, and seconds?
I found the option to change it in the modeling space, but it does not transfer to the drawing space.

Seems odd to have the option while modeling, but not in drawing.

Thanks,

-Josh

Hello

Well I believe that the alternative so that you can work with these units would be to resort to "CHANGE PARAMETERS"

You will need to create a list of parameters, within this box you can choose your own values.

I really appreciate you taking the time to give me an answer. However, there seems to be some confusion.

I am talking about drawings not modeling.

You can change to minutes and seconds in the prefs with out resorting to making parameters.

For my current needs being able to input angles is not helpful. The angles I need are driven by the construction, and they need to be outputted in the drawing so they are human usable.

Thanks again,

-Josh

Hi Josh,

The short answer is this is not currently available in drawings.  We do have alternate unit support (for example feet and inches) on the roadmap, but that is still t.b.d.  I will forward the angle unit request to the team.

Thanks,
Chris

Hi @cmiller66,

I see this posted in 2018, has this feature been added since ?

Hi @Daniel_Steyn_S6L6P9Q28XNX

As it stands, it is not currently possible to add an angular dimension using Minutes and Seconds in Fusion 360 drawings. We did an overhaul of units back in September 2021, and at that time, there was only 1 request (this one from 2018) for changes to angular units, so it was not prioritised.

I actively track all customer feature requests. Every customer request that we get, from meetings, emails, forum posts etc. gets collected and categorised in our feature request database. This information is used to prioritise the features that we build next. I've added your request to the database. If more customers request this functionality, we will certainly look at re-prioritising it.

Probably more people stumble accross this thread :-).

I also need tolerances on angles in minutes and seconds....

I too would like to see the addition of minutes and seconds added to drawings. I know that it's an archaic style, but for those of us who use it, it would be a valuable addition.

@ClintBrown3D

I need it too for manufacturability since rotary tables are in Deg.Min.Sec not Decimal Degrees.
I'm kinda astounded it doesn't exist since it's the way manual machining is done.

@ClintBrown3D

Are there any updates yet about the option to set angular dimensions in Degree Minutes and Seconds with Fusion Drawings ?

I have to say it's common method to dimension angles on the aerospace components I work on, so this feature would be a great help.

Thanks
