drawing template doesn't work for others in my company

Hello all,

i created a title block for our company, and have it set up in a project folder, that is accessible to all users in our organization. it is visible, and can be opened by them at any time.

however, when creating a drawing, and selecting the template from the dropdown, for all users except me, they get an error that says the file couldnt be found.

i think theres a way for them to open a file browser of sorts, and locate the file and then open it. but this is a slow process when it should work from the dropdown dialogue for template choice, when creating a new drawing.

attached is a screenshot of the template.Screenshot_9.pngScreenshot_10.png

Hi @CuttingEdgeManufacturing

My suggestion is that you place all of your templates into the same folder (accessible to the team), when a new drawing is created, the user will need to navigate to this folder, the first time. After that, "last used" location will be remembered, and the template should be available from the dropdown when a new drawing is created.

If the user wants to use a different template, in a different folder the next time they create a drawing, they will need to browse, to find to it.

I hope helps

Hi @CuttingEdgeManufacturing

Yes, this is what I mean. OK, good to see that the data is in one place. I understand the issue.

To try to troubleshoot this:

Ignoring the error message for a moment, If they browse to the template, can they use it?

If they have used it once, can they use it again from the drop-down without the error message?

Hi @CuttingEdgeManufacturing

I have checked with the development team, this is an issue that they have been working on. The issue is intermittent, but the good news, is that there is a fix coming soon in one of our upcoming builds.
