Drawing origin

I have a model that contains three simple components  (PCBs) which are oriented at an angle to one another.  Each has details such as holes etc.  How can I generate drawings of each part with the part axis aligned with the drawing axis?  I need to be able to provide a drawing of each individual board to the PCB diesigner.  I've tried just selecting the part in the drawing dialog but it still get all the parts in the model and the orientation of the drawing is is stil, the global axis.

i'm sure I'm being stupid about this but have spent hours on it.

thanks

Peter

Hi Peter,

Currently, the best way to do this is:

1. In the design, use "Look At" (available in the bottom toolbar) then select the face of the component you want a drawing of.  You'll now be looking at that face head on.

2. Create a new named view of that orientation (Right-click Named Views in the browser) > Repeat for the other two PCBs

3. Now when you create a drawing and place the base view for each PCB, select the corresponding named view as the Orientation in the Drawing View dialog.

That should do it for you, please let me know how it goes.

Thanks,
Chris

Thanks Chris, it worked perfectly and I learnt two more things about Fusion.
