Drawing Module -radius dimension appearance

Hello,

I am frustrated with the way that my dimensions for inner radii and fillets appear. I use the "Dimension" tool which looks great until I attempt to to stretch the leader line. At that point, the arrow no longer touches my part but instead snaps to an imaginary arc formed by the fillet.  See my pictures below for a visual.

I don't believe I have seen a drawing with this style of dimension and I am not fond of adding extra lines to a drawing. Does anyone have a suggestion how to improve the appearance of my dimensions, or should I just use a text box with a leader line?

Many thanks,

Tim

Hi Tim,

Thanks for bringing this up, and sorry for any inconvenience this is causing you..  We have an issue logged for this (internal reference: FDWG-6580) but it's still on our "To Do" list. A leader will work, but the downside is the value won't update if the radius is changed in the design. The other option to avoid this extra arc is add the dimension so you're pointing to the outside of the radius, but I know this is not ideal.

Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris,

That's too bad. Thanks for your answer though.  I will keep my eyes out for the drawing module updates!

Best,

Tim
